 Carson Slovak stretched his arm outward across the floor of his Philadelphia apartment, and handed a yellow legal pad to Mike Coasey. The two had been writing and recording music in this room for days, collaborating, scribbling and agonizing over words and riffs and melodies. Mike reached out to grab the pad, looked to Carson, and now the project had a name.
ARMSBENDBACK began in this apartment, with these two musicians, and in many ways the spirit and inspiration of the project has never left.
